It was a grand function at Lady Andal School in Chennai on Monday night where the music of Vijay’s 50th film ‘Sura’ was launched in style, in the presence of some of the big guns of Tamil cinema.

The first copy of the audio CD, which has musical score by Mani Sharma, was released by Vijay, Tamannah, Vadivelu and Sun Pictures chief Hansraj Saxena, while it was received by directors K S Ravikumar and R Parthiban.

Others took part in the function include Sura’s producer Sangili Murugan, director of the movie S P Rajakumar, filmmaker Hari and cinematographer Ekambaram. Speakers at the event expressed confidence that the songs as well as the film would reach the audience in a big way thanks to Sun Pictures.

Circles close to Sun Pictures say they are planning ‘Sura’ as their big summer release and the film would hit the screens by the end of April. “A full-fledged commercial entertainer, the movie is a complete vacation treat,” they say.
